Golden Oar entries extended to 13 October
With only 30 days to go until the first of three races in our multi-event format, the 1500m race, on Saturday 1 November we’re really excited to see things taking shape. Now’s the time to ramp up your planning, and training of course.
We’ve extended the entry deadline to 13 October, as we hear there’s still plenty of interest in competing in the regatta. Already 50 crews have entered and we’re anticipating another 20 crews to come forward, including 8 crews from the National Training Centre.
We’ve also extended the hoodie offer which means that each crew member will receive a 776BC Golden Oar summer hoodie valued at $100. Please encourage your club administrator to enter now through Rowing Manager here
We’ve upped the overall prize pool by adding the Club category. More than $120K of prize money is now up for grabs, presenting an incredible opportunity for you and your club to be part of this unique event – all boat classes are mixed format with categories for Open, Club, U19, Masters quad sculls and PR3 double sculls. Any queries about the race format should be answered by visiting our FAQs here
The Club and PR3 categories are wide open. Both the Club mixed quad sculls and PR3 mixed double sculls attract $17,500 prize money, with $10,000 for the first crew across the line, followed by $5,000 and $2,500. We’re eager to see both categories hotly contested so please don’t hesitate.
More crews, will mean more support required. For those of you who are eager to support the regatta by volunteering, please register your interest here
